​Who should sign up for this event?

You!! The Whey-Ah-Wichen Whipper is available to all paddlers who possess the necessary confidence to successfully complete their selected distances while ensuring safety. This implies that participants must be capable of independent navigation on the water and possess the skills for self-rescue. Additionally, all racers are required to wear a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) and Leash throughout the entirety of these events.

Do you have any smaller practice events?

Absolutely! We offer a fantastic opportunity for you to experience our 'Tuesday Night Race' Series, where you can participate in the shorter distance race. It's an ideal way to dip your toes and determine if you're ready to take on bigger challenges like the Whey-Ah-Wichen Whipper in September. The 'TNR' occurs every Tuesday from April to September and welcomes beginners and also permits inflatable stand-up paddle-boards on the race courses. To learn more about the 'Tuesday Night Race' Series, please click​ here.
